Ancient monkeypod tree offers seclusion and comforting shade providing for a treehouse setting for this second story hideaway on one of Southern Kauai's most loved resorts -- Kiahuna Plantation.  

*UPDATED COVID-19 MEASURES* (1) We have implemented new cleaning protocols: new cleaning products chosen for virus killing properties, emphasis of sanitizing high-tough areas, Cleaning Staff Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - masks, gloves, sanitizing before/after cleaning.  (2) 24 hours between reservations on all new reservations after April 1, 2020. (3) No more same day check-in/check-out reservations.

Wonderful corner unit -- enjoy the Kauai trade winds with the distinctive louvers on the sidewalls in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.  The rooms all have dramatic vaulted ceilings lending to a Polynesian atmosphere.    

Enjoy the lanai for meals, lounging and a peaceful place to relax while the monkeypod tree slowly sways in the breeze.

This unit is truly a home away from home at a resort that has the best location in all of Poipu Beach. Kiahuna Plantation is the only resort in Poipu that is located on a swimming beach. It has it’s own on-site restaurant, pool, tennis courts and gym facility. World class dining and shopping is within walking distance.

The managers Jed and Lisa were great to deal with. They mailed a package with keys etc before we arrived so we didn't have to stumble around in the dark trying to get in when we arrived late. Jed was also very helpful in getting an issue with the TV sorted out very quickly. Property and owners highly recommended.

We had a fabulous stay here. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had everything required plus some extras like spices and an ice maker which we really liked. There were beach chairs, water toys and a beach umbrella which we used often. The unit was spacious with a bedroom, kitchen bathroom, dining area, living room and a large lanai. This is an end unit on the second floor which gave nice privacy. It is nestled under the canopy of a large and beautiful Monkey Pod tree so we felt like we were in a tree house. It was lovely to sit and watch the birds romp around in the tree. Although the unit doesn't have an ocean view you can hear the waves and one of Kauai's nicest beaches is only a short 3 minute walk over the beautifully managed grounds. The unit comes with access to the Poipu Beach Athletic club just a short walk across the street. That facility was really nice. It had a gym, pool, tennis and pickleball courts.

This condo was like a treehouse in the tropics! On the second floor with a giant tree shading the lanai, the condo felt secluded and ethereal. A very quick walk to the lovely Poipu beach too!

We had a wonderful stay at Kiahuna Plantation, condo #236, in Poipu. The place was exactly what we were looking for in a home-base on Kauai. It was clean and comfortable, and was a really nice size for us 3 girls. We loved grilling our dinner (the grilling area was just steps from our building) and eating on the spacious lanai. The surrounding gardens were beautiful and so peaceful! We were just across the parking area from the garden restaurant too, so it was convenient to go and get a drink in the evening as well. The beach was a short stroll from the house (about 3 minutes) through the gardens and it was perfect! Great body surfing waves and not crowded at all. We snorkeled right off of our beach and saw so many different kinds of fish! The Sheraton was next door and they have a beach-side restaurant and bar. Perfect for sipping and watching the sun set. The condo was equipped with games as well as boogie boards, umbrellas, sand mats, coolers and sand toys. The condo was also short walk (or even shorter drive) from a really neat shopping area (just down the road, at the traffic circle). Also, Koloa was only about a 5 to 7 minute drive away. There is a decent grocery store there, a wine store and a fish market, among other things. I would highly recommend Jed and Lisa's place. I just wish we could have stayed longer. I've already been trying to figure out how soon that next stay can be :) It was truly a wonderful visit. Needed to be several weeks longer. I will be in touch next time for sure. I'd love to stay there again :)

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation. A friend of ours had suggested Kiahuna Plantation and after being there I can't think of a better place on the island. The grounds are absolutely incredible and the private beach right there is amazing, especially since we like to get in and swim, snorkel and surf. The north shore was too rough to get in the entire time we were there so being on a swimming beach was great. Your place was perfect for our needs. I would say that perhaps for some people the kitchen appliances are a little dated but for us, we don't care. It was great and we were able to cook at least one meal a day to save some money and for convenience.

SPECIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
As of September 24, 2020, the following special rules apply for travel to Kauai from off island.  
  1. Guests agree to comply with all of the state and local rules, including when required by emergency proclamation, taking a COVID-19 test from a state approved lab no more than 72 hours prior to traveling to Kauai in accordance with the government requirements.  Guest will also be able to provide Koloa Kai with proof of compliance with the government rules.
  2. Guests acknowledge that if they are unable or unwilling to comply with the rules allowing them to skip quarantine, and therefore are subject ot the mandatory 10 day traveler quarantine, that Koloa Kai will not be able to host you, and will have to cancel your reservation and provide you with a 100% refund.
