SOFT LANDINGS
This beautiful home is centrally located about halfway between Poipu Beach and Shipwreck's Beach making the sunrises and sunsets over the water viewable just a short walk from your door. Enjoy the Poipu Kai shared pool, hot tub, and tennis courts on the way to the beach, or walk to the Grand Hyatt Kauai for a luau or enjoy a massage in the Anara Spa.
Upstairs, you'll find three bedrooms and two baths with furnished lanais on each side. The guest bedroom with twin beds upstairs has a portable a/c. The downstairs area has one bedroom and one bath, a kitchenette, and an outside seating area (ac unit in the bedroom). The downstairs also has a studio with AC, a microwave, a small fridge, and an outside seating area. AC is not an option upstairs (except for the twin bedroom), but don’t let that deter you! Turn on the overhead fans, open the windows and doors in the living area, and welcome in the gentle ocean breezes and cooling trade winds. Embrace the tropical climate and live like an islander! The home's floor plan gives you room to get together with plenty of private spaces for those that need to work, learn, or enjoy some quiet time.

Family Soft Landing
Our family of 9 including 2 kids (3 1/2 and 16 months) had a great week at the property. The 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms worked out very well for us as a multi-family unit. Enjoyed the wrap-around lanai and multiple places to enjoy each other's company or be solitary. Appreciated the provision of a portable crib and high chair. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards were provided. Management was very responsive to questions. The location was an easy walk to Poipu Beach with great kids beach and a quick walk to Shipwreck Beach in the other direction where we enjoyed multiple sunrises on the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail. Great location for excursions to the West side, Waimea, as well as to the North side, Hanalei Bay, and Princeville. Would definitely stay here again.

Great getaway for 1-8 people
this house was split so you could rent a one room, a small suite for two, two bedrooms, and a large living/dining/kitchen area or all of it! The outdoor lanais were spacious. A 10-minute walk to the beach. Close to quaint shopping and restaurants. Located on the "sunny side" of the island. The management was amazing with continued contact before and through the whole journey of the rental. The only thing that would have been better, is if all the lights and fan switches were labeled, it would have been perfect for the average family. Note this is not handicapped/elderly-friendly.

Great location and friendly staff
Amazing house minutes from all the beaches. Great common areas for hangout with family and game night. Would come back again year after year. Do yourself and your family a favor and book this place vs. Hotel rooms. The staff is amazing too. Great communicators, easy and painless check-in and check-out process. Available for questions upon demand and if they miss your call, they call you back within 5 minutes. Can't say enough how easy the staff makes this trip for us.

Great house for a large group
A great space for a large group or multigenerational family. The house was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds, plenty of bath and beach towels, lanais all around the house, and a kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The property manager was responsive and helpful, and we had an all-around wonderful stay. Our only disappointment was that the pool heater was broken while we were there, so we weren't able to enjoy the pool and hot tub.

Soft Landings at Poipu, Kauai was the perfect house for our family of 8; 5 adults, 2 children, and a teen. Everything was provided for us, and we only had to shop for food for a week. Everyone had their own space and bed to sleep in each night. House was situated perfectly for a quick walk to the beach, Brennecke's, Kalapaki Joes, and Puka Dog. Sunset from one of the balconies was a nightly ritual for our family. I highly recommend this property for the perfect family vacation on Kauai.

Perfection in Paradise
We had a wonderful time. The property provided lots of indoor and outdoor space. We enjoyed cocktails on the back deck and sunsets on the front deck. The house was well-equipped and comfortably furnished. The location is perfect. We could walk to beaches, restaurants, the pool, hot tub, and tennis courts. We spent days on the beach- even did some surfing. We had a problem with the dishwasher and management responded quickly and stuck with it under the problem was fixed. I highly recommend this property. It could use a couple more wine glasses- hardly a complaint. Thank you for a wonderful family holiday.

This was my immediate family's first trip in over 10 years, with everyone and their families going together. We had a rather large group of 14 ranging from ages 67-10 months. This home was more than we could have asked for, for the week that we stayed in Poipu. The location was right around many beaches, trails, entertainment, and some of the best food around. Our week was filled with daily activities so we were out and about a lot, but the best part of the trip was at night, sitting with all of the family members in this beautiful home listening to the nightly rain we got all week. The floor plan worked out perfectly for us, families with young kids slept downstairs so that they would not get bothered during their naps and early bedtimes. The upstairs became the hang-out, with nightly game competitions and unwinding from the busy day we had exploring the beautiful island of Kauai. I am an avid golfer and although I did not get to play Popui Golf Course, it was walking distance away and I was able to check out much of the golf course but was only able to dream of playing, I was one of the families with the youngest kids. The management of the property was great, they sent us almost daily texts to make sure everything was doing great. If you are hesitant about renting this place, do not be. It was so great! There is a house that shares a driveway with this house, and although no one was there during our stay, I can see that being a minor inconvenience. I can't wait to come back to Kauai, it was by far the most beautiful of all the Hawaiian Islands and I can't wait to stay at this home again.

Fitted our two grandparents, four parents, plus two young adults and one teen to a TEE!
Adequately spaced bedroom and bathroom facilities for all. Lots of socializing space and furniture in the living rooms and on the lanai. Very comfortable. Very adequate kitchen (my adult kids -- the in-between generation -- did the food shopping and cooking). Comfortable walk or drive from beaches and restaurants. Others walked but I needed a ride. It's not inexpensive but for us worth the price.

The property was greatvery comfortable! We stayed in guest suite which was better than any apt Ive ever owned! The refrigerator in upstairs rooms went on fritz but management was on it immediately! Very responsive rental support! I highly recommend Soft Landings to anyone venturing to the island.

For this reason, Koloa Kai engages regular quarterly pest control in every property to keep the pests at bay. Despite these efforts, it is possible to have pests in your property, and if that happens, Koloa Kai will take all measures possible as quickly as possible to mitigate any issues. Any monetary compensation, refunds or discounts will be given solely at the discretion of Koloa Kai and will only be available in situations where the company agrees that an infestation has occurred. Koloa Kai reserves the right to investigate and provide remediation of any pest issue. The mere presence of pests in the property shall not constitute grounds for monetary compensation.
30-DAY MAXIMUM RENTALS:
Koloa Kai LLC provides only short-term rentals with a maximum reservation of 30 days. Each reservation is fully documented and provides for a fixed date and time for check-in and check-out, rental rates, associated fees, and all other requirements required by local and state law. If a guest books consecutive reservations where the check-out and check-in dates are concurrent, then a cleaning fee will be assessed, and a Koloa Kai designated cleaning professional/inspector will have unrestricted access to the property for the purposes of cleaning and inspection of the property. During the time between reservations, described by the check-out time and check-in time specifically, the guests shall vacate the property so that the designated cleaning professional/inspector can conduct a full reservation clean and inspection in accordance with Koloa Kai’s standard practice. Guest access to the property shall be restricted specifically to the date/times of the reservation documentation and may not be extended upon verbal or text message confirmation.
Hawaii Laws require that GET (4.712%), Kauai TAT (3.0%) and TAT (10.25%) taxes apply to the cleaning fee.
