Manualoha is one of the most desirable communities within Poipu Kai Resort, located in the southwestern corner of the property, just across the street from Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park. Slightly elevated on a gentle knoll, it offers quick beach access while also providing enhanced views and privacy. Guests enjoy being just steps from some of the South Shore’s most popular beaches, yet tucked into a peaceful garden setting surrounded by tropical landscaping.
Atmosphere & Style
Manualoha blends resort convenience with the charm of a quiet residential garden community. The properties are spread out across multiple low-rise buildings and surrounded by lush pathways, giving guests a true sense of space and calm. Some condos offer ocean views and even whitewater and sunset vistas, especially from second-story lanais. The setting is ideal for those who want beach proximity without the bustle of a large hotel.
Accommodations
The Manualoha complex includes 64 spacious vacation condos, offering one- and two-bedroom floor plans — with some expanded configurations that include lofts or two-story layouts. Sizes range from approximately 885 to over 1500 square feet, comfortably sleeping up to six guests depending on the property.
Condos typically include private lanais, full kitchens, in-home laundry, and ceiling fans. Air conditioning varies by property: some include portable A/C (often in the bedrooms), others feature multiple installed A/C units, while some may rely solely on breezes and fans. Guests should always confirm cooling details when booking.
Amenities
Manualoha features its own resort-style pool — one of the most picturesque in Poipu Kai — located just 100 yards from the beach, making it ideal for a quick dip after sun and surf. Guests also enjoy access to Poipu Kai Resort’s shared amenities, including a larger pool and hot tub, extensive walking paths, and the Poipu Kai Tennis Club.
Some properties at Manualoha include membership to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club (PBAC), offering additional access to a large pool with a slide, tennis and pickleball courts, a full fitness center, and a casual restaurant. PBAC access should always be verified with the specific booking, as it is not included with every rental.
