The Neighborhoods of Poipu
There are several neighborhoods in Poipu: Lawai Rd., Poipu Kai, Kiahuna Plantation Rd., and Poipu/Brennecke Area.
Lawai Rd Neighborhood
Lawai Road is a wonderful, flat walking street that is mostly on the Poipu Coastline. It goes from a traffic circle where Shops at Kukuiula and the Wednesday Culinary Market to Spouting Horn. On Thursdays visit the Aloha Market at the beautiful National Tropical Gardens. The gardens have tours almost every day. McBryde and Allerton are the gardens in Poipu. Take the little ones to Baby Beach, snorkel at Lawai Beach, and relax and swim at the Kukuiula Boat Harbor. Dine at Beach House Restaurant or go for happy hour and watch the sunset.

Kiahuna Golf Course Neighborhood
From Kiahuna Beach up Kiahuna Plantation Drive to the areas of Pili Mai, Kauanoe o Koloa, Wainani, and Kiahuna Village. Kiahuna Village is an association of homes around the Kiahuna Golf Course and Wainani`s single-family homes surround another part of the golf course. Poipu Shopping Village with free Hawaiian entertainment on Mondays and Thursdays at 5 pm and the Village Market every first and third Tuesday. Enjoy walking the Hapa Trail which will take you from the Poipu Beach Athletic Club to Koloa.
Restaurants in the Neighborhood: The Cabana at the Poipu Beach Athletic Club, Keoki`s, Anuenue Cafe, Bangkok Happy Bowl Thai Bistro and Bar, Kauai Juice, Papalani Gelato and Starbucks at the Poipu Shopping Village, and Paco`s Tacos at the Kiahuna Golf Club.

Poipu/Brennecke Neighborhood
Hoone Rd, fronting Poipu Beach Park and Brenneckes Beach, turns into Pee Rd. This winding street is a popular place to watch the sunset on the wall fronting Nihi Kai or to walk one way and return to the Poipu Kai Greenbelt.

Poipu Kai Neighborhood
Poipu Kai is a 70-acre resort community in Poipu. The community consists of seven condo developments with their own swimming pools, an 8-court Poipu Kai Tennis Club, a community pool and hot tub, and the beautiful Green Belt, garden paths connecting the areas of the resort. The resort is between the Hyatt and Shipwreck’s Beach to Brennecke`s and Poipu beaches. Restaurants to walk to are the Grand Hyatt Kauai, the Poipu Bay Golf Course, Kalapaki Joe`s, and Brennecke`s Restaurant.
